Victorian Bulldog is a muscular and athletic breed of dog. Their stout limbs, wide nostrils, broad muzzle, rose or button ears and loose-hanging skin give them the typical look of the bulldog. Their wide chest, straight and muscular forelegs, broad shoulders, all added up to their stocky look.
However over the early years of breeding these partners left, either giving up on the dream or having their own idea they wanted to pursue.

In 1985 Mollett began a breeding program with the purpose being to bring back a healthier bulldog that was also taller and before poor breeding practices caused issues. Working with him was Graham Woods and Mollett’s brother Derek Mollett. The Victorian Bulldog is a medium to large dog weighing 55 to 75 pounds and standing 16 to 19 inches tall. Its appearance is similar to its relative the English Bulldog but it is larger in size, more muscular and more athletic. It has a wide chest and broad shoulders that lead down to strong and straight front legs. Its back legs are a bit higher set and are lighter than the front ones. It is stocky looking and thick boned. Its neck is thick, arched and strong and it has dewlaps on each side from loose skin. Its feet are compact and round.
